Hali Flickinger won the women’s 200 fly Friday night at the TYR Pro Swim Series meet in Mesa, and even though her time of 2:09.77 was not nearly as fast as her swim last month in Atlanta (2:08.04) and it was extremely painful, she was still in a happy mood as she discussed the meet.

Flickinger explained how, given her small size, the windy conditions at the meet have been even tougher to deal with, and she explained how she was affected in both the 200 free and 200 fly. Flickinger then discussed how her improved health has contributed to her being so much happier in and around the pool and how much she enjoys spending time with her Georgia and U.S. national teammates — including the recently-returned Allison Schmitt.
