Nic Fink got back on the World Championships team this year, finishing second in the 200 breast at U.S. Nationals after finishing well out of contention at the Olympic Trials last summer. He later made the final in the event at Worlds.
Earning an invitation to Golden Goggles, Fink showed up in a sharp American flag bowtie and then explained on the red carpet in an interview with Swimming World how it felt to make a triumphant comeback in 2017, how he felt more confident this year and how he feels going into his third year as a post-grad swimmer.
