Missy Franklin had an admittedly-disappointing Olympic Games this summer in Rio, but she was her usual smiling self at Golden Goggles last week in New York City. Swimming World caught up with Franklin on the red carpet, where she filled in viewers on what’s been going on in the months since Rio.

Franklin explained her attire for the night and then her new training environment at Cal-Berkeley under men’s head coach Dave Durden. She also discussed her whirlwind travel tour over the past few months and how she feels about her return to college.
