Michael Andrew finished fifth in the men’s 50 free final at the arena Pro Swim Series meet in Mesa and discussed his effort afterwards with Swimming World.

Andrew explained why he decided to pass on swimming the 400 IM to focus on the 50 free and what he thinks he got out of the race against Olympians Nathan Adrian and Cullen Jones. He also explained how his training has changed in recent months, his current focus events and why he still enjoys coming to the arena Pro meets.
