Jacob Pebley earned runner-up honors in the 200 Backstroke at the 2018 TYR Pro Swim Series at Mesa. 2016 Olympic Champion Ryan Murphy won the event, as the Cal duo were the only two men under two minutes.

His time of 1:58.30 was slower than his race in Atlanta, but Pebley said practicing in non-ideal conditions is a great way to be prepared for the upcoming years. He also discussed training camp, his new hobby, the married life and more:
