Gabby DeLoof made her first appearance at the Golden Goggles Awards show on Monday night in New York City. DeLoof talked briefly about the transition between the college life to the professional life and how she has handled that transition.

DeLoof is still in school so it is not completely different for her yet. She is coming off a very successful breakout summer where she placed third in the 200 free at US Nationals this summer, earning her spot on the Pan Pac team that went to Japan.

DeLoof will also represent Team USA at World Championships later in the summer of 2019 as a member of the 4×200 free relay. It will be DeLoof’s first World Championships.

DeLoof finished her eligibility at the University of Michigan last spring where she helped the Wolverines to a fourth place finish at NCAA’s. It was the school’s highest finish at Women’s NCAA’s since 1996.
