(VIDEO INTERVIEW) Ashley Twichell Swam 26,000 Meters in Training This Week

Ashley Twichell talked on the first night of the TYR Pro Swim Series in Knoxville about her training regimen with the TAC Titans in North Carolina and her work load as an open water swimmer.

Twichell said she swam nearly 26,000 meters in training already this week as she is aiming her sights on the 2019 Open Water Nationals in Miami in a couple months. The top two finishers from the Open Water Nationals will represent Team USA at the World Championships, and the top ten finishers at Worlds will automatically qualify for the 2020 Olympics.

Twichell talked about why she decided to move to the TAC Titans in North Carolina after having such a successful stint with Mission Viejo in California. Twichell will represent Team USA at the World Championships in the 1500 pool race this summer.
