USA Swimming Tabs Ginny Nussbaum, Ken Heis as World Juniors Coaches

Head coaches of the U.S. swimming teams for the 2023 World Aquatics Junior Championships (formerly FINA) have been selected, it was announced by USA Swimming on Thursday. Ginny Nussbaum will lead the women’s team and Ken Heis will lead the men’s team. The long-course meters competition will take place September 4-9, in Netanya, Israel.

“We’re excited and appreciative of Coach Nussbaum’s and Coach Heis’ commitment to our 2023 World Junior Championships efforts,” USA Swimming National Junior Team Program Director Erik Posegay said. “They are both experienced head coaches and leaders of successful club programs who will have a positive impact on our USA Swimming teams.”

Nussbaum currently serves the Long Island Aquatic Club (LIAC) as head coach and program director for the age 13 and older group. LIAC is a Gold Medal Club awardee in the USA Swimming 2022 National Club Excellence Program. She was a U.S. assistant coach at the 2022 Junior Pan Pacific Championships and the 2019 World Junior Championships.

Heis is head coach of the Mason Manta Rays, a Gold Medal Club awardee in the USA Swimming 2022 National Club Excellence Program. He previously served as a U.S. assistant coach at the 2019 World Junior Championships and the 2019 Mare Nostrum.
