There seriously needs to be race videos for the two fastest miles ever swum. Come on. U.S. distance swimming will never take off if people do not only see the best swims ever swum, but also see that other people are excited about the fact that distance swimming is getting hyped up. I personally am not a distance swimmer and hate swimming 500 or more, but I have a lot of admiration for distance swimmers and love watching them swim. And another thing, watching them swim does mean the first 200 and the last 200. At Pan Pacs, Ledecky was ahead of world record pace for like 500 and then fell off a good deal, than got back on the last 400. However, you do not get to see that race, you only see her under world record pace.
