Twelve divers have been selected to represent Team USA in next month’s FINA Diving Grand Prix meets in Bolzano, Italy and Madrid, Spain. Athletes were determined based on cumulative scores at last month’s USA Diving Senior National Championships.

Team USA will be coached by Alik Sarkisian (Evanston, Ill.) and Abel Sanchez (Chapel Hill, N.C.), with Mandy Hixon (Amherst, Mass.) serving as team leader.

Team USA features 2018 World Cup bronze medalist Krysta Palmer (Carson City, Nev./Reno, Nev.) as well as 2016 Olympians Amy Cozad Magaña (Indianapolis, Ind.) and Katrina Young (Shoreline, Wash./Tallahassee, Fla.). Young also competed in the 2018 World Cup, as did Murphy Bromberg (Bexley, Ohio/Austin, Texas), Grayson Campbell (Vienna, Va./Austin, Texas), Zachary Cooper (Greenwood, Ind./Miami, Fla.) and Brooke Schultz (Fayetteville, Ark.), who also will dive in the Grand Prix.

The Bolzano Grand Prix begins Friday, July 6 and concludes Sunday, July 8. The team will then travel to the Grand Prix in Madrid, which starts the following weekend on Friday, July 13 and wraps up Sunday, July 15.

Five other divers also will compete for Team USA in the Grand Prix. Jacob Cornish (Honolulu, Hawaii/Austin, Texas) will dive in his first Grand Prix in the men’s 10-meter platform, while Greg Duncan (Oakton, Va./) will make his Grand Prix debut when he teams up with Campbell in the men’s 3-meter synchro. Alison Gibson (Austin, Texas) will dive individually on 3-meter and also will join Palmer in the women’s 3-meter synchro. Briadam Herrera (Miami, Fla.) will dive in the men’s 3-meter springboard, as will Campbell. Olivia Rosendahl (Los Angeles, Calif./Evanston, Ill.) will compete in the women’s 10-meter synchro with Young.

Bromberg and Magaña will compete in the women’s 10-meter platform, while Schultz will dive in the women’s 3-meter. Cooper will compete in the men’s 10-meter platform.

“It has been an amazing journey representing USA Diving at the World Cup and I’m excited to get another opportunity in the upcoming Grands Prix in Italy and Spain,” Palmer said. “The first Grand Prix stop will be an outdoor competition, which always presents variables, but many of us have trained and competed outdoors. USA Diving is sending a strong group of divers and I’m really looking forward to spending more time on the road with Team USA.”
