Three-Time NCAA Division III Coach of the Year Reveals Keys to Success in August’s Swimming World Magazine

PHOENIX, Arizona, August 7. NICK Nichols, head men's and women's coach at Amherst College, is the subject of this month's Swimming Technique section Q&A interview.

In this feature, Nichols talks about a variety of subjects including; how he assists his athletes in balancing swimming with their rigorous academic schedules, recruiting challenges at Amherst, the role dry land training plays in his programs and the unique elements which come into play coaching at a Division III school.

Also, this month's Swimming Technique section How They Train feature focuses on Amherst junior Kendra Stern. Nichols comments on Kendra's continuing progress in her collegiate swimming career. Her progression of times is included along with how she and Nichols have worked together to maximize her opportunities for success in the pool.
