Tennessee Expands Lead at Home Invite
Tennessee expanded its lead at its home invite after Day 2 on Friday.
The Tennessee men have 830.5 points, well ahead of Denver (533.5), Penn (472), Duke (399), North Carolina (320) and Carson-Newman (138).
Tennessee’s Braga Verhage, Peter Stevens, Ryan Coetzee and Kyle DeCoursey won the 200 medley relay (1:24.00). Coetzee won the 100 butterfly (46.02) ahead of Verhage (46.69).
Joey Reilman won the 200 free (1:34.27). Stevens won the 100 breaststroke (52.89) ahead of North Carolina’s Valdas Abaliksta (53.29).
Penn’s Mark Andrew won the 400 IM (3:46.99).
Denver’s Anton Loncar won the 100 backstroke (45.92).
The Tennessee women have 749 points. Duke is in second (559), followed by North Carolina (519), Denver (459), Penn (236), Marshall (110) and Carson-Newman (910,
Tennessee’s Micah Bohon, Katie Armitage, Erika Brown and Stanzi Moseley won the 200 medley relay (1:36.67). Brown won the 100 butterfly (50.77) ahead of Duke’s Leah Goldman (51.80).
Tess Cieplucha won the 400 IM (4:05.43). Moseley won the 200 free (1:44.63). Rachel Rubadue won 3-meter diving (322.80).
Molly Hannis won the 100 breaststroke (57.36), swimming for Tennessee Aquatics club, finishing ahead of Armitage (59.89).
North Carolina’s Caroline Baldwin won the 100 backstroke (51.95).
