Taylor Ruck Leading Seven Canadians into World Cup Competition
Seven Canadian swimmers will represent Canada on a three-stop World Cup tour through Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan this fall. A Canadian team of three women and four men will begin its international tour in Baku, Azerbaijan, before travelling to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and Astana, Kazakhstan, for three World Cup competitions over 17 days.
“Having the opportunity to race internationally this early in the season is extremely valuable as we build toward the World Aquatics Swimming Championships (25m) in December, and into 2027,” said John Atkinson, high performance director and national coach, Swimming Canada. “This series of events give our swimmers three high-level racing opportunities, allowing them to test themselves, refine their approach and carry that experience into the rest of the season. We have a great group of experienced athletes on this team, and I’m looking forward to seeing how they embrace the opportunity to compete against some of the world’s best swimmers.”
The following athletes will represent Team Canada for the World Cup stops this fall.
