SYRACUSE, New York, June 14. JUST two weeks after the announcement that Syracuse University plans to cut swimming and diving in favor of women's ice hockey, a petition created by the student-athletes most impacted has reached the halfway mark to its initial goal of 5,000 signatures.
Today, the online petition surpassed the 2,500-signature mark with supporters signing on from around the country.
