SwimMAC Carolina is pleased to announce that it will host the 2017 Charlotte UltraSwim meet. This meet has been a cornerstone event of the club for more than 25 years. UltraSwim has been host to Olympic athletes from around the world and has seen swimmers qualify for Olympic Trials, make national swim teams and even set a world record. SwimMAC is proud to welcome the best athletes and coaches from around the world to Charlotte next month.

UltraSwim will take place from June 1-4, and will be held at the Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center (MCAC), 800 E. M.L.K. Boulevard. The meet will include a shoot-out style format for the sprint events of all four strokes, non-Olympic distance events, and a short timeline on Sunday to allow teams to begin their travels home. The meet is open to USA Swimming registered swimmers (or other FINA membership) who have at least one Futures cut. Please find a link to the meet sanction here.

“The last four years we have been honored to host one of USA Swimming’s Grand Prix events,” said SwimMAC Head Coach Terry Fritch, referring to the Arena Grand Prix and the Arena Pro Series meets that the club has hosted. “We are very excited to return to our roots and bring back this prestigious meet that has always been so well attended by top level athletes and coaches from around the country.”

Numerous college teams from around the southeast have already committed to this year’s UltraSwim. They include swimmers from Virginia Tech, Tennessee, University of South Carolina, Duke and NC State. If you are interested in attending the meet, OME is currently open, so you can register through OME. If you should have any registration questions, please send an email to CLTMEET@SWIMMACCAROLINA.ORG.

SwimMAC is proud to announce early sponsors of the event including: Novant Health, Speedo and the title sponsor, UltraSwim. Other companies interested in sponsoring may contact SwimMAC at CLTMEET@SWIMMACCAROLINA.ORG.
