Swim Poll of the Week: Which Men’s Olympic Performance Was Most Impressive?

swim poll of the week

This is the Swim Poll of the Week for Thursday, August 26, 2021, sponsored by Strechcordz Swim Training Products. In our last poll, we wanted to know: Which men’s Olympic performance was most impressive?

The five options include Caeleb Dressel’s world record in the 100 butterfly, Bobby Finke’s amazing comeback win in the 800 freestyle, Zac Stubblety-Cook’s Olympic record and victory in the 200 breaststroke, Kristof Milak’s dominant Olympic record in the 200 butterfly and Evgeny Rylov’s Olympic record win in the men’s 200 backstroke.

Dressel swam a time of 49.45 to clip his own world record of 49.50, and he needed almost every bit to hold off Milak for gold. Finke overcame an enormous deficit on the last length to win gold in the 800 free. Stubblety-Cook pulled away on the last 50 in the 200 breast to win his first Olympic gold with one of the top performances in history. Milak swam a time faster than any other man has ever swum, and actually put up a larger margin of victory than Michael Phelps ever did as he dominated the 200 fly. Finally, Rylov capped off a backstroke gold medal double with his easy win in the 200 back.

So which out of those five did Swimming World readers consider the top performance?
