Swim Poll of the Week: Do You Like to Warm Down After Practice?

This is the Swim Poll of the Week for Thursday November 19, 2020, sponsored by Strechcordz Swim Training Products. In our last poll, we wanted to know: Do you like to warm down after practice?

Warming down after practice has long been a topic among coaches and swimmers whether or not it is beneficial. Swimmers may believe they don’t need to swim easy after completing a long set, instead wanting to get out, get dressed and hurry to dinner. Coaches may believe it is beneficial to flush out the lactic acid collected during the main set so the swimmers can replenish and be ready to go again the next day.

So which side do you lie on? Do you like to warm down after practice?

Here are the results for when state championships should be called:

Yes – 68%

No – 33%
