Sweden and Norway Announce Short Course World Championships Rosters

With the Short Course World Championships less than a month away, two more countries, Sweden and Norway, have announced the athlete representatives that will be competing in Windsor.

Sweden’s roster will be missing many of its biggest names, including three-time Olympic medalist Sarah Sjostrom, 200 free Olympic finalist Michelle Coleman, 2015 50 breast World Champion Jennie Johannson and newly-enrolled USC freshman Louise Hansson.

The women’s roster for the meet includes Jessica Eriksson, Sophie Hansson, Sara Junevik, Ida Lindborg, Nathalie Lindborg and Hanna RosvallRobin Andreasson, Jesper Björk, Christoffer Carlsen, Mattias Carlsson, Daniel Forndal, Victor Johansson, Adam Paulsson, Erik Persson, Axel Pettersson, Simon Sjödin and Johannes Skagius will compete for Sweden on the men’s side.

Carl Jenner, Sjostrom’s former coach, will lead the team after recently being hired as a part of Sweden’s national coaching staff.

For Norway, Susann Bjørnsen, Henrik Christiansen, Erik Gidskehaug, Markus Lie and Truls Wigdel will be competing in Windsor.
