UW-Eau Claire’s Samantha Senczyszyn took down the NCAA Division 3 record in the women’s 200-yard breast during the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletics Association Championships tonight in Brown Deer, Wis.

Senczyszyn raced her way to a 2:12.20 for the win, splitting the race 29.67, 1:03.45 (33.78), 1:37.63 (34.18) and 2:12.20 (34.57).

That effort cleared the previous record of 2:12.22 set by Amherst’s Emily Hyde just a week ago.

Senczyszyn has proven to be an impact freshman for Eau Claire after she decided to change her commitment from the University of Arizona and stay close to home in Grafton, Wis.
