Ryan Lochte’s First Meet Back From Knee Injury Will Be Arena Grand Prix in Orlando

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina, January 13. AFTER a bit of a tease occurred this morning when USA Swimming released confirmed Ryan Lochte entries for the Arena Grand Prix in Austin, SwimMAC head coach David Marsh has now confirmed to Swimming World when the superstar will actually be back in the competitive waters.

After first confirming that Lochte would not be in attendance in Austin this weekend, Marsh told Swimming World that he would, in fact, be competing at the Orlando stop of the Arena Grand Prix next month (Feb. 13-15).

It will be great to see Lochte back in the water after a fan incident led to a knee injury that forced him to withdraw from the Duel in the Pool last month in Scotland. Team USA still managed to pull out a stunning come-from-behind victory by way of a tiebreaker, but the Stars and Stripes definitely missed the multiple Olympic gold medalist.
