Earlier this week the two men who rushed the “Dancing With The Stars” stage during a live taping in protest of Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte were charged with interfering with the performance along with leaving a spectator area to enter the stage.

If convicted, Barzeen Soroudi and Sam Sotoodeh could face up to six months in jail and a $1000 fine.

Officer Mike Lopez of the Los Angeles Police Department explained to The Los Angeles Times that the two had “tickets to be in the audience [for the September 12th taping] and had planned to confront the disgraced Olympian at the ballroom dance show.”

Lopez continued on, stating, “the suspects posed as audience members, then changed clothes to display anti-Lochte t-shirts to disrupt the show.”

While the incident wasn’t captured on live television, ABC had later released footage of the event. Neither Soroudi nor Sotoodeh made contact with Lochte or dance partner Cheryl Burke during the incident.

The two men have not been the only Lochte protesters present at the show, as Derek Hough, one of the professional dancers on the show, has confronted a group of women who were seen wearing anti-Lochte t-shirts.

The two will be arraigned in a Los Angeles Superior courtroom on October 4th.
