Ryan Lochte Leads 200 IM Going Into Finals of Day One at Athens Sectionals

Cammile Adams, Ryan Lochte, and Connor Jaeger are just a few big names who will be swimming at the 2015 Long Course Speedo Sectionals in Athens, GA over the next four days.

Melanie Margalis leads the women’s 200-meter IM going into tonight’s finals with a 2:13.49. Kirsty Coventry (2:16.02) and Emily Cameron (2:17.51) are the second and third seeds respectively.

Lochte turned in a 2:02.57 to claim the first-place seed in the men’s 200-meter IM. Jaeger was a close second with a time of 2:02.60. Will Raynor rounded out the top three with a 2:03.65.

Melanie Margalis and Maddie Rusch kept it close in prelims of the women’s 50-meter free. Margalis finished ahead with a 26.12, while Rusch touched with a 26.19. Justine Panian was third with a 26.24.

Michael Chadwick claimed first in prelims of the men’s 50-meter free finishing with a 22.61. Junya Koga took the second-place seed with a 22.83 while Michael Trice finished third with a 22.96.

Adams led the women’s 200-meter fly with a 2:10.82 in prelims. Megan Kingsley was second with a 2:13.38, while Hellen Moffitt touched third with a 2:14.98.

Dylan Bosch claimed the top seed in prelims of the men’s 200-meter fly finishing with a 1:57.34. Mick Litherland grabbed second with a close 1:57.72, while Matt Conway was third with a 1:59.45.

Chadwick’s starting to put up s’one numbers. He went a or 22.52 50’free at I bekueve the Barcelona stop off the Mare Nostrum tour last month.

The Men’s 200 Fly information doesn’t look like it can be correct.
