Russia Swimming Federation Names World University Games Team; Kirill Prigoda, Polina Egorova Named to Team

The Russian Swimming Federation named its team for the 2019 World University Games in Naples, Italy this summer. They will send 18 men and 13 women to the Games that will start July 3-14. The biggest names in attendance for Russia are probably 2017 World Championship bronze medalist Kirill Prigoda and 2016 Olympian Grigory Tarasevich, who swam collegiately at the University of Louisville.

2017 World Juniors silver medalist (100 fly) Egor Kuimov will also be in attendance at the Games along with World Juniors bronze medalist (200 free) Irina Krivonogova and 2018 Youth Olympic Games gold medalists Daniel Markov (50 free, 50 fly) and Polina Egorova (100 fly).

2018 European Juniors gold medalist (400 IM) Maxim Stupin is also on the team for the Russian team.

The Russian Swimming Federation also recently named its team for the World Championships.
