NEW YORK, New York, October 12. Columbia women’s swimming acting head coach Michael Sabala has announced another fantastic addition to the staff for the 2014-15 season. World Championship Medalist and two-time NCAA Champion Rachel Goh will join the Lions as a volunteer assistant on the pool deck this year.

Goh comes to Morningside Heights as a standout backstroke swimmer for the Australian National Team. The Melbourne native also spent four impressive seasons competing at Auburn University before earning the chance to represent her country in national competitions around the world.

At Auburn, Goh was an eight-time All-American and captured back-to-back NCAA Championship titles in the 100 backstroke in 2007 and 2006. She is a five-time SEC champion in multiple events, including the 100 back, 200 medley relay and the 400 medley relay. A 2008 graduate, Goh still currently holds the Tigers all-time 100 back record with a time of 51.46.
