Dynamo’s Tristen Ulett downed the 13-14 national age group record in the 100-yard fly during the Georgia 14&Under Short Course Championships on Friday night.

Ulett clocked a time of 52.97 to become the first 14-and-under to break 53 seconds as she downed the former record of 53.19 set by Eva Merrell from 2014.

As a 13-year-old, Ulett has plenty to take that record to new lows.  With her swim here, she dropped her previous best time of 53.57 from December’s Speedo Winter Junior Championships.

A year ago at this time, Ulett’s top time had been a 56.50 at the Georgia Age Group Championships in March 2015.

Special thanks to Dynamo’s Jason Turcotte for providing us with video of the swim.
