Pitchfork Aquatics Swimmers to Represent Puerto Rico at SC Worlds

The 13th FINA Short Course World Championships are just around the corner and swimmers are gearing up for the competition to begin! The meet will be hosted in Windsor, Canada from December 6-11, 2016 and all events will be swum in short course meters.

Puerto Rico will be represented by four individuals who train locally in Tempe, Arizona with Pitchfork Aquatics.

Coach Fernando Canales will head up the Puerto Rican team while present in Windsor, and Coach Mona Nyheim-Canales will be one of the featured speakers during the World Aquatic Convention at these FINA World Short Course Championships. Coach Mona is FINA’s Technical Advisor for Coaching in Swimming; she is writing and directing the new FINA World Coaches Certification Program.

The four individuals representing Puerto Rico at Worlds are:

Jarod Arroyo– 400 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 200IM, 100 butterfly, 400IM, 100IM, 200 backstroke

Christian Bayo– 400 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 1500 freestyle

Luis Flores–  50 freestyle, 100 freestyle

Yeziel Morales–  100 backstroke, 200IM, 200 freestyle, 100IM, 50 freestyle, 50 butterfly, 400IM, 200 backstroke
