The 2017 FINA World Championships have lit the pool on fire in Budapest, Hungary and USA Today Sports have been on deck capturing all of the action and excitement.

Day two of the championships saw several national records fall, as well as the rattling of two world records: women’s 100 breast and women’s 100 back. In the 100 breast it was Russia’s Yulia Efimova who rattled the world record, stopping the clock a shy .01 seconds off Ruta Meilutyte’s record. The 100 back was shook by a surprised Kylie Masse from Canada.

Adam PeatySarah SjostromKatinka Hosszu, and Ben Proud each became gold medalists as day two concluded.
