The fifth day of the 2017 FINA World Championships has come to a close and saw a multitude of athletes make their way onto the podium.

Among those were the USA’s Chase Kalisz (200 IM) and Team USA’s 800 free relay, both of which defended USA Worlds titles.

Mireia Belmonte of Spain snuck past the competition to claim gold in the women’s 200 fly, while Yulia Efimova pulled from behind to post the top qualifying time in the women’s 200 breast.
