The fourth day of the 2017 Phillips 66 Nationals continued with fast swims and many newcomers making their names known.

Justin Ress of NC State continued to make his mark on the backstroke events by claiming the top seed amongst a heat of Olympians.

Distance all-stars Katie Ledecky and Leah Smith continued to reign supreme by claiming the top two seeds in the women’s 400 free, while Texan Clark Smith nabbed the men’s 400 free top seed.

Breaststrokers Lilly King and Kevin Cordes continued their dominance over the breast events by claiming the top seeds for the 100 after securing victories in both the 50 and 200 races.
