PHOENIX, Arizona, September 25. WHILE many Olympic champions are taking much-needed breaks from the pool, Sun Yang is still racing.
The 400 and 1500 freestyle Olympic gold medalist raced two weeks ago at the Chinese University Games, and then last week at the Chinese long course nationals, where he won the 200 and 400 freestyles. His 200 free time of 1:45.9 was just a second slower than he swam in London, and his 400 free time of 3:43.97 is almost four seconds slower than his winning time at the Olympics.
