Paralympian Brad Snyder Ready To Take On The World

FINIS-sponsored athlete Brad Snyder is set to take on the world in the 2015 IPC World Championships taking place from July 13-19 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Snyder, a three-time Paralympic medalist, is set to swim the 50, 100 and 400-meter freestyle events in his first big international meet since stealing the show in London in 2012. He is the top seed in the 100-meter freestyle — an event in which he took gold in London — second seed in the 50-meter freestyle and third seed in the 400-meter freestyle, an event he also took gold in at his first Paralympic Games three years ago. Snyder is expected to compete and, in some minds, favored to win gold in all three of his races.

Snyder has an inspiring story behind his success in the pool. In 2011, he lost his eyesight to an improvised explosive device (IED) that detonated while he was serving the U.S. Navy in Afghanistan.
“I’m so proud that our company has taken a proactive approach to teaming up with Paralympians. Brad is an inspirational man and motivates all of us here at FINIS to strive for greatness in all aspects of life. The world is about to discover just how great Brad really is.” –John Mix, CEO, FINIS, Inc.
