The second finals session saw Australia’s Ariarne Titmus out-duel USA’s Katie Ledecky in the 400 free, while Great Britain’s Adam Peaty repeated as gold medalist in the 100 breaststroke and Team USA surged to gold in the men’s 4×100 freestyle relay.
