BEIJING, China, January 4. THE Olympic torch is headed for the highest point on the face of the earth. On two occasions leading up the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, the torch will go to the top of Mount Everest. It will occur once this year and once during the official Torch Relay in 2008. The torch is in its final design stages.
