After taking a year off from school to train for Olympic Trials, Andrew Wilson is back at Emory University to finish out his career with the Eagles. This week, Wilson joined Off Deck to discuss his redshirt year and his return with host David Rieder.

Wilson explained what stands out to him about training at the University of Texas with Eddie Reese and Kris Kubik and how he has changed his training since returning to swim with Jon Howell at Emory. He also reflected on his performances at Trials this summer, where he finished fifth in the 100 breast and fourth in the 200 breast, and then explained his reaction to breaking a pair of NCAA Division III records at the Miami Invite earlier this month.

Wilson also discussed what he’s looking forward to about his final NCAA championships and his future in the sport post-graduation.
