The Kentucky high school state championships got started today in impressive fashion with a number of state records falling in prelims.
On the boys side, St. Xavier led the way in all three relays and three individuals took two top seeds a piece in prelims.
In the 200 medley relay, Martin Nitzken, Keefer Barnum, Conner Kang, and Miachel Wastman ran away with the top spot, stopping the clock in 1:33.86.
