AUCKLAND, New Zealand, October 5. New Zealand’s phenom diver Liam Stone has committed to diving with head coach Dave Parrington at the University of Tennessee starting in January 2015.

Stone, the first male diver to compete for New Zealand at the Commonwealth Games since 1998, dominated age group diving in New Zealand and has set double-digit national records throughout age group and senior diving.

Stone had a strong outing at the Commonwealth Games, taking seventh in the one-meter springboard event.

Stone joins a loaded diving group at Tennessee that produced Mauricio Robles as one of the top divers in the country.  Robles went on to take third in the three-meter event at NCAAs and was the Southeastern Conference Diver of the Year.
