OMAHA, Nebraska, January 26. NEBRASKA posted a 159-83 non-conference dual win over the Maverics at the HPER Pool despite junior Jessica Hessel winning two events and teammates Adrienne Losee and Theresa Scheuber each earning Friday.
The Mavericks, now 3-4, will make their final home appearance Saturday at 2 p.m. against Northern Iowa.
Hessel, from Wichita, Kan., captured the 50-yard freestyle event with a time of 24.44.9 and later won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 52.79.9.
Scheuber, a freshman from Papillion, won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:06.02.
Losee, a junior from Omaha, had a time of 1:08.45 to win the 100-yard breaststroke ahead of teammate Carrie Murphy, a sophomore from Omaha, who swam the event in 1:09.66.
