Nation’s Capital Swim Club is a multisite setup with various locations throughout the D.C. region.  NCAP-West, serving the western suburbs of Northern Virginia, answered the Snow Swimming challenge with a nicely-produced video and provided that video to Swimming World.

NCAP-West Administrative Head Coach Mark Faherty sent the following email along explaining the W symbol all the swimmers flashed during the video.

“Here’s a video of Nation’s Capital Swim Club swimmers from the “West” site (serving the western suburbs of Northern Virginia) during the blizzard that hit the DC area this past weekend and dumped 25-30 inches of snow out our way.

The coaches challenged the swimmers to get creative in the snow and flash the “W” hand sign that’s become a part of our NCAP-West culture. Winners from each group would get a dozen doughnuts…After the submissions we got, I think everyone’s getting doughnuts!”
