After winning his semi-final heat and lowering the championship record earlier in the session, Russia’s Vladimir Morozov took the gold and lowered the CR yet again by posting a 20.31. Britain’s Benjamin Proud swam a 20.66 for the silver while Italy’s Lucca Dotto earned the bronze with a time of 20.78. Coming in fourth and fifth was the Polish pair of Pawel Juraszek and Konrad Czerniak while Greece’s Kristian Gkolomeev and Russia’s Sergei Fesikov took sixth and seventh. Rounding out the field in eighth was Italy’s Marco Orsi.

.51 RT is about as fast as you can do it. No wonder it was almost a WR too.

If this guy is Russian and Russia is a state sponsored doping program, why is this record allowed?
Wow!! Way to race Vladimir Morozov
