Phoenix Swim Club

PHOENIX – 10-year-old Miriam Sheehan of Phoenix Swim Club has established a new national age group record in the girls’ 10 and under long course 50m butterfly.

At the Phoenix Spring Invitational yesterday, Sheehan clocked a 30.43 in the 9-10 girls’ 50m butterfly final, clearing Ella Eastin’s national age group record of 30.56 from 2007.

This marks Sheehan’s third national age group record in the 10 and under age group, as she already owns the long course 50m back record with a 32.44 and the 50-yard butterfly record with a 26.64, both set earlier this year.
