Michael Andrew Headlines Junior Nationals Psych Sheet

The 2016 U.S. Open Championships only has three sessions remaining. On Monday, the pool will welcome a younger crowd with the start of the 2016 Speedo Junior National Championships. Many of the top junior swimmers who will race at Junior PanPacs at the end of the month are not in Minnesota next week. Some others made Trials the big focus of the summer. Regardless, there is still plenty of fast swimming ahead.

Michael Andrew will be the top seed in the 100 breaststroke, 100 freestyle, 100 butterfly, 100 backstroke, 200 IM, and 50 freestyle. The 17 year old will also swim the 200 backstroke and 200 breaststroke.

Johannes Calloni is top seed in two events Andrew is not racing: the 400 and 800 freestyle.

Both women’s backstrokes have Lucie Nordmann and Grace Ariola leading the pack.

Fifteen year old Zoe Bartel is the top seed in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes, both by solid margins. She is also seeded second in the 200 IM. Kenisha Liu holds the top spot in the 200 IM. The Brea Aquatics 17 year old will also race the 100 freestyle (1st), 400 IM (3rd), 100 butterfly (1st), 200 freestyle (10th), 200 breaststroke (6th), and 50 freestyle (3rd).

There are quite a few Junior Pan Pac swimmers attending Juniors next week, including some of the swimmers in your article. You should check the roster.
