Miami Adds Klaudia Nazieblo as Assistant Coach

The University of Miami Thursday hired Klaudia Nazieblo to the staff of its women’s swimming and diving program.

Nazieblo has spent much of the last decade at Virginia Tech, where she swam from 2014-2018 and where she has been an assistant coach since 2021.

“I am absolutely thrilled and honored to be joining the Hurricanes Family,” Nazieblo said in a press release. “From my very first conversation with Coach Kershaw, I knew this was a program I wanted to be a part of. I resonated deeply with his genuine passion and his holistic philosophy of developing the whole athlete, rather than treating them as a number on a scoreboard. This is a vision to which I am completely committed.”

That native of Poland also swam internationally, at the World Championships, European Championships and professionally in the International Swimming League. She was named a first-team All-American once and was seven times an honorable mention All-American. She finished fifth at the World University Games in 2017.

Nazieblo graduated from Virginia Tech in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in economics and a minor in business leadership and communication.

“Klaudia brings a wealth of elite experience coaching and swimming, both in the ACC and internationally,” Miami head coach Andy Kershaw said. “That experience will be put to use in many ways and will help us to continue to elevate our program.”

“During my visit, I was completely blown away by how dedicated and cohesive the entire support staff is, and I’m so excited to help continue the incredible momentum the team has built over the years,” Nazieblo said.
