100 Breaststroke
If Northwestern's Mike Alexandrov goes anywhere near his No. 1 seed time of 52.24, it's unlikely that he'll be defeated. But, the field for 100 breast is solid, with Stanford's Paul Kornfeld (52.75) and Alabama's Vlad Polyakov (52.92) also owning sub-53 entry times. The fourth and fifth positions are occupied by Southern Methodist's Alex Hetland and Virginia's Vanja Rogulj.

200 Breaststroke
As is the case in the shorter breaststroke, the four-lap version of the event could produce a showdown between Northwestern's Mike Alexandrov and Alabama's Vlad Polyakov. The top seeds are followed in the third slot by Georgia's Neil Versfeld and Florida's Bradley Ally, the ninth seed, could make a major jump.

Expected to contend for the team title, Stanford has the chance to produce some serious fireworks in this event as the Cardinal has the fourth through sixth seeds. Paul Kornfeld is capable of contending for the title and Nate Cass and David Ash will also supply big points. If the seeds hold, Stanford would generate 42 points.
