Melanie Margalis picked up her first win of the 2019 Pro Swim Series after multiple top-three finishes earlier in the week. Her 200 IM time of 2:10.43 is two tenths faster than her swim at this meet last year, and was enough to get the win over Nashville’s Alex Walsh (2:12.36). Walsh led the way at the halfway point, but Margalis out-split the field on both breaststroke and freestyle for the win.

High Performance Vancouver’s Emily Overholt dropped four seconds from her prelims swim to take third in 2:14.91 while High Performance Victoria’s Danielle Hanus was fourth in 2:15.20. Tennessee’s Tess Cieplucha took fifth in 2:16.18 after earning her Olympic Trials cut in the prelims.

Megan Kingsley (2:17.03), Meaghan Raab (2:17.25) and Ella Nelson (2:17.96) rounded out the heat.
