Michael Phelps isn’t the only Olympian looking forward to the a new addition to the family as Matt Grevers and his wife, Annie, have announced today that the couple are expecting their first child.
Annie, Swimming World’s Features Editor, is due to give birth around Thanksgiving, just in time for the holidays.
The news comes just in time for Grevers’ push towards his third Olympic Games. He’s a four-time Olympic gold medalist, and is the reigning 100-meter backstroke champion from the 2012 London Olympics.
The Grevers’ love story has played out in the public, with Matt’s 2012 proposal being one of the most viral videos in swimming history.
