Mario Sanzullo & Bettina Fabian Crowned Overall Winners At LEN Open Water Cup

Mario Sanzullo and Bettina Fabian were crowned overall women and men’s champions in the LEN Open Water Cup following the sixth and final leg in Barcelona.

Marc-Antoine Olivier returned to the water following his ban from the French federation and picked up where he left off in Eilat, Israel, in March.

The 2016 Olympic 10k bronze medallist was in a great tussle with Sanzullo and his Italian teammate Marcello Guidi.

While Olivier enjoyed a clear win by 1.7secs in 1:52:52.8, Sanzullo held off his compatriot in 1:52:54.6 to 1:52:54.9.
