In this article in the magazine, it says that Michael Phelps is the youngest male ever to break a swimming world record at 15 years and 9 months.

When Australian Stephen Holland first broke the world record in the 1500 (15:37.80 in August of 1973) wasn’t he only 15 years and 3 months? I believe that he was born sometime in the spring of 1958. Could you please fact check this to see if I’ve got it right?
