With an impressive TYR Pro Swim Series meet already behind her, Madisyn Cox went for more, throwing up a 2:11.10 to drop over four seconds from her time in prelims. Relentless throughout the race, Cox left the field and pushed herself to a decisive victory, nearly four seconds faster than second-place Asia Seidt (2:15.03). Allie Szekely turned heads to the outside lane, as she managed a sneaky 2:16.23 to break into the top three, followed by Mackenze Looze (2:16.27). Makayla Sargent surged to a 2:16.45 finish to claim fifth. Julia Poole turned in a 2:17.49 worthy of sixth, while Emily Escobedo and Kelly Pash rounded out a tightly packed heat with times of 2:18.44 and 2:19.61, respectively.
