TUSCALOOSA, Alabama, May 25. ALL-AMERICAN and Academic All-American Lisa Ebeling has been named to the Alabama swimming and diving staff as an assistant coach, Crimson Tide head coach Dennis Pursley announced this week.
“Lisa brings tremendous energy and drive to the deck in addition to a strong foundation as a technical coach,” Pursley said. “She is committed to the pursuit of excellence and will be a great fit in the team concept we are putting in place at the Capstone.”
The Colorado Springs, Colo., native comes to Tuscaloosa after stints as an assistant coach at the University of Utah and Rutgers University. She was part of the coaching staff in the Utes inaugural season as part of the Pac-12 Conference in 2011-12, during which Utah broke 15 school records.
Ebeling was a three-time All-American at Arizona and was also named an Academic All-American, earning the Mary Roby Academic Achievement Award as well. In 2006 she helped the Wildcats to the Pac-10 championship.
She graduated from Arizona with a bachelor's degree in elementary education in 2007 and coached at the Phoenix Swim Club while pursuing her master's degree at Arizona State.
