Lisa Angiolini made it two titles and three pieces of solo silverware after winning the 50m breaststroke at the Mediterranean Games.
The Italian headed prelims in a 30.45 championship record before returning to the Taranto pool in the evening. There she clinched the title in 30.64 to add one-length gold to her 200m breaststroke title and 100 silver behind team-mate Benedetta Pilato.
Ana Rodrigues (31.01) was second with Irene Mati making it an Italian 1-3 in 31.34.

Emre Sakci edged the men’s race by 0.02 over Gabriele Mancini, with the Turkish swimmer winning in 27.24 to 27.26. Nusrat Allahverdi made it a Türkiye 1-3 in 27.39 as 0.15 separated the podium.
Alberto Razzetti pulled away on the second half of the race to eventually dominate the 400IM in 4:11.99. The Italian, who won silver at the European Championships in Paris, was 6.29secs ahead of Daniil Giourtzidis of Greece (4:18.28).
Toni Drajoja overhauled leader Lorenzo Ballarati on the second 50 to win the 100 free in 48.77. Vili Sevic came from fourth to second to make it a Croatia 1-2 in 49.19 with Andreas Vazaios third in 49.37. Kalia Antoniou won the women’s 100 free in 54.60, swiftly followed by Chiara Tarantino (54.67).
Just 0.68 separated the first three women home in an 800 free in which the lead traded hands three times in the final 150m. Artemis Vasilakis was ahead until the 650m mark before Francesca Martins took the lead.
Noemi Cesarano headed into pole position on the penultimate 50 to come home in 8:29.65 to clinch the distance double following 1500 gold. Vasiliki (8:30.02) and Martins (8:30.33) joined her on the podium.
